Journal Information
The Indonesian Journal of Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies (IJoIIS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing original research, critical analyses, and comprehensive scholarly inquiries into Islamic studies from an interdisciplinary perspective. The journal serves as an intellectual platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners who are committed to examining Islam and Muslim life through the integration of multiple scholarly disciplines.
IJoIIS was established with the conviction that Islamic studies, in all its richness and complexity, requires methodological pluralism. The journal therefore encourages scholarly work that bridges religious sciences with social sciences, humanities, law, education, and natural sciences. This interdisciplinary approach enables contributors to produce knowledge that is both academically rigorous and practically relevant to contemporary Muslim societies.
The journal gives particular attention to Islamic thought and practice as it unfolds in the Indonesian and Southeast Asian contexts, while also welcoming contributions that address the global Muslim experience. By doing so, IJoIIS aims to amplify Indonesian and regional scholarly voices in international academic discourse on Islam.
