Keadilan Sosial dalam Al-Qur'an: Dialektika Tafsir terhadap Isu Kemiskinan dan Ketimpangan di Indonesia

Abstract

This study analyzes the concept of social justice in the Qur'an and its dialectical relationship with the issues of poverty and economic inequality in the Indonesian context. By examining the key Qur'anic verses about justice, wealth distribution, and care for the weak and marginalized, this research demonstrates how Indonesian Muslim scholars have developed diverse interpretive approaches to address economic injustice. The study analyzes the interpretations of scholars such as Hamka, Quraish Shihab, Masdar Farid Mas'udi, and several younger scholars within the framework of their social, economic, and political contexts. The findings show that Indonesian Qur'anic interpretation has produced at least three major orientations toward economic justice, namely the charitable orientation that emphasizes individual moral responsibility, the structural orientation that advocates for systemic economic transformation, and the integrative orientation that combines both approaches. This study concludes that the rich tradition of social justice discourse in Indonesian Qur'anic interpretation provides important resources for addressing contemporary economic challenges, but requires continuous dialogue with modern economic science and social policy.
