Focus and Scope
Edusantri is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to the study of Islamic education and the pesantren (Islamic boarding school) system in Indonesia and across the globe. Published on a regular basis, the journal serves as a forum for academics, researchers, educators, and practitioners to disseminate original research, theoretical enquiries, and critical analyses related to pesantren education and its transformation in the modern context.
The journal’s scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the following thematic areas:
Islamic Education and Pesantren
Studies on traditional (salafiyah) and modern (khalafiyah) pesantren educational systems, pesantren curricula, classical Islamic text (kitab kuning) teaching methodologies, and the integration of pesantren values into the national formal education system.

Research on pesantren governance, kiai leadership, leadership succession and regeneration, human resource management within the pesantren environment, and institutional development of pesantren.
