Plagiarism Policy

Edusantri maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using text similarity detection software prior to entering the peer review process.

The permissible similarity threshold is a maximum of 20% overall, with the additional condition that no single source may account for more than 5% similarity. Similarity arising from properly attributed direct quotations does not constitute plagiarism; however, the use of direct quotations should be kept to a reasonable minimum.

Violations that constitute plagiarism include:

• Reproduction of another person’s text without adequate attribution
• Use of another person’s ideas or arguments without appropriate acknowledgement
• Resubmission of previously published work as a new contribution (self-plagiarism)
• Falsification or fabrication of research data
• Minor paraphrasing of another person’s work that is then claimed as the author’s own

If plagiarism is discovered after an article has been published, the editorial board will immediately retract the article and issue formal notification to the relevant author’s institution.
